I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Since I was a young boy flipping through pages and observing life around me, I'd find a spectrum of images ranging from beauty to brutality, informing my sense of our collective humanity with fascinating expressions. 

Art is enigmatic, soothing, shocking, surprising, challenging and so much more... It's been a magnificent tutor. These explorations have propelled my learning path through intuitive observation which continues to this day.

Perception, pencil, and paper — a magical triad — leaves behind a record of reason, willpower, and awareness.

As humanity struggles to strike a balance with new technologies taking over the most enjoyable activities in life, this site shares my contribution. Drawing is personal.

I'm a life-long art student and practitioner. I like to share what I know and to learn in the process. A teacher is only a more seasoned student sharing the journey with fellow students.

I’m a visual artist mainly focused on drawing and its fascinating immediacy. To me, the extraordinary transition from subject to image is awe-inspiring and a constant source of wonder. For many decades now, I have been developing the fluidity of my strokes, embracing accidents and chaotic mark-making which suddenly assume a synergic identity of their own coming into existence. I aspire to make assertive and expressive strokes. I play within specific conditions to achieve this: 

• I establish an assertive attitude, leaving hesitation behind; 

• I don't erase; every stroke counts and stays as part of the final artwork.

• My sense of proportions grows based on fluidity of the practice, not by mechanical measuring;

• Focus and observation induce a meditative state.

• An intuitive mindset guides; perception dictates, the hand responds with intention.

• Everything is rendered in a synergetic continuum.

Each viewer resonates with the artwork differently. Art has the power to challenge preconceptions, asking questions in an intimate and personal manner.

All drawings presented here have been carried out within a 10 to 20 minutes time frame. These collections of strokes, marks and stains acquired a life of its own as finished artworks. Each one is an invitation to pause, tune in, and contemplate the visual story in detail. Please allow these drawings to deliver their message to you.

These are unique artworks that took several decades of work and skill development. They have been selected out of hundreds of drawings, half of them might be interesting, only a few are remarkable. 

I conceive art as means to connect through our shared vital energy, beauty, emotions, skills and ideas.
